| I'm off to Turkey on the 10th of September, and I've just remembered that it's the Belgian GP on the 16th...so, does anybody know how I can watch it? I believe it's CNN Turkey that shows the F1, is this a terrestrial channel? Any help would be good, as I don't think it'll be on in many bars. |

I was in Turkey for the Hungarian Grand Prix last year (every year I go away and miss the best race, missed the Nurburgring this year too!) and do remember finding it on the TV in the hotel room, but we had to miss most of it anyway to got to a meeting with the rep. The commentary was in Turkish I think so it was a bit confusing, but it was definitely there, and CNN does ring a bell. Usual holiday drill - if you have a TV with plenty of stations, make sure you know your time zones and do lots of flicking in the half hour before the race, if it's there you'll find it! I don't know if CNN is terrestrial, we had Sky News as well and I really doubt that is... How soon will you be able to find out if you have it? If you're there six days beforehand I'm sure you can double check with a friendly local barman what station it's definitely on. Hope you don't miss Spa's return!
Have a great time, whereabouts are you going? |

Thanks for that
I think our apartment has decent TV, it says so in the brochure.
I'm going to Icmeler (near Marmaris) for 11 nights, should be good |

I'm sure if you have decent TV you'll be fine then, we only had Sky News in english, everything else was local so it was hardly a special tourist package or anything.
I'm sure you'll have a great time, just hope you can stand the heat, the day we went to the airport to go home it was 41C! I loved it though, and would recommend it. |
