Just picked up two DVDs from Amazon for £5.99 each. The first is "Murray Walker's F1 Greats" - a review of all the great drivers from 1950 onwards. The second is "Grand Prix - The Golden Years", which covers the 60s, 70s and early 80s and is presented by John Watson.
I'm going to watch them this afternoon so will pass judgement here later.... _________________ "And Mansell is slowing it down, taking it easy. Oh no he isn't! It's a lap record." - Murray Walker |

Just watched the Murray Walker one - very, very good content and presentation with some nice extras.
Back later.....
It's later and have watched the John Watson DVD. Dunno why they say it covers the 60s, 70s and 80s cos it's really a review of the decade from 1970-1980. That aside, there is some cracking footage and I'd say it's a good introduction for anyone who maybe wasn't around then but wants to understand what that era was like. Shame about Watson's rather stilted presentation but that doesn't spoil the overrall effect. Recommended.
So, that's two top quality, historic F1 DVDs for a grand total of £12.
Bargain. _________________ "And Mansell is slowing it down, taking it easy. Oh no he isn't! It's a lap record." - Murray Walker |

Might try those out myself JW.
Has anyone seen the season reviews they do on MotorsTV, I always find them very intersting and brilliant for someone born 15 years afterwards.
I watched the 1976 one the other day, what a great battle between Hunt and Lauda, so many DQs though! |
