Ferrari assisting Bianchi

16/01/2013

Revealing his team's plans for 2013, Stefano Domenicali admits that the Italian outfit is still trying to help Jules Bianchi find a role.

With just two seats available, at Force India and Caterham, the Frenchman has been linked with the Silverstone outfit however, it is understood he is in stiff competition with a number of others including Adrian Sutil.

At the weekend, while Bianchi was winning the "Desafio das Estrelas", the international karting event organised by Felipe Massa, wearing Force India's colours, Paul di Resta was admitting his frustration at not knowing his team's line-up. "I am surprised there has been nothing yet," said the Scot. "The team have said they will announce it in good time as to where they are going to be, and I have to respect that."

Confirming Bianchi, a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, one of its test and development drivers today, along with Davide Rigon, Marc Gene, Andrea Bertolini and Pedro de la Rosa, Domenicali admitted that the Maranello outfit is doing all it can to assist the youngster.

"We are currently trying to find him a role in Formula 1," said Domenicali, "and when we have some news, we will let you know."
