Uncertainty surrounds Young Driver Test

26/06/2012

Formula One is no closer to deciding on the Young Driver test despite representatives meeting and discussing the matter on Tuesday.

Where and when the Young Driver test should be held arose; with Silverstone (next month), Abu Dhabi (end of the season) and even Jerez in December mooted as possibilities.

Also discussed was the way in which the event was to be run, with some teams opting to use it as intended and others (no names) hijacking it as a means of revenue raising.

Opinion on the rights and wrongs of the situation are split, a cause of frustration among some factions within the paddock.

With just days before the scheduled Silverstone Young Drivers Test the situation has reached boiling point with some teams yet to confirm crucial information to stakeholders.
