More testing for Mercedes

19/02/2012

Ahead of its launch at Barcelona this week, the Mercedes WO3 has completed a further day's testing at Silverstone.

The German team, which shook down the car at the Northamptonshire on track on Thursday, stressing that much of the day was devoted to promotional filming, completed over 190 miles today.

Over the course of the day, Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg both enjoyed turns at the wheel, the seven-time champion driving in the morning and his teammate in the afternoon.

The Brackley based outfit was keen to stress that the private test is fully legal; having not completed the final day's running at Jerez - where it ran the 2011 car - the German team nominated today as part if its agreed allowance.
