Trident Racing has announced that an agreement has been reached with Dani Clos who will join Plamen Kralev at the next round of the GP2 Asia Series at the Abu Dhabi circuit on February 5th and 6th.

In spite of his 21 years, Clos can boast an enviable record in single-seaters which began with winning the Italian Formula Renault 2.0 in 2006. In 2007-2008 the Spanish driver completed an important experience in Formula 3 Euro Series in addition to debuting in a F1 car during a test session with Williams. Last year he made the step up to GP2 and achieved a podium position and a fastest lap.

Trident Racing is presently preparing for the first 2010 race and will soon announce the two drivers who will race in the GP2 main series this season.

The first GP2 Asia Series' race in November showed Trident to be very competitive and I think Clos is a very fast driver. Surely it will be not easy for him to recuperate the gap from the other drivers who have already run on the Abu Dhabi circuit for 2 test days and one race week-end, but I am confident that Dani will find the right feeling with the car and with our team very quickly."
