Biography

|
Mike has written many books on the subject of motorsport, most notably: Brabham Ralt Honda (The Ron Tauranac Story) which in 1999 won him the Montague of Beaulieu Trophy for the greatest contribution to the history of motoring/racing/motorcycling in any medium.
His 'The Story of March' was recently re-released to critical acclaim while his previous works The Reynard Story, Grand Prix Cars 1945-1965, The Mille Miglia and The Glory of Goodwood (The Spiritual Home of British Motor Racing) are regarded as motorsport essential. His latest tome 'Colin Chapman - Wayward Genius' has met with widespread critical acclaim, except with a certain F1 Magazine that gave it two-stars while giving four-stars to a desk diary! Thanks to his mastery of the written word and his superb sense of humour Mike is able to make the subject matter interesting to everyone - even non-racing fans. Rather than concentrate on personalities or chassis numbers (a common fault in motor racing literature), Mike prefers to weave a story around his painstakingly researched facts, who else but Mike could have 'dreamed-up' Turk Thrust or the Formula One Script Unit.
