"I would suggest that HERE is everything you need to know about the Monaco GP - it's a colossal waste of time and a terrible race - no - it's no race at all. We've had people with broken engines winning, now someone matching the pace of the 20th place car on shattered tires wins. What's next, Lance Stroll wins the 2020 race on three wheels? Verstappen gets spun, the track is too narrow to fix it and he wins backward? It's a joke, but it needn't be. As a realist I see they'll keep the dumb thing so I suggest two solutions - 1) make it a time trial. Loosen up the qualifying, give em lots of tires and laps on an empty track and make the lap times the race finish. or 2) have a sort of IROC - put them all in identical, narrow (i.e. more than one can fit on a given part of the track) spec cars and use it as one race of the season which compares drivers only. In that way, homage could be paid to the grand history of this dumb dumb spectacle without making a mockery of motorsport. I actually started ironing clothes during this for something more exciting and which (with me anyway) didn't have a guaranteed outcome."
