Schumacher's homepage revived for 20th anniversary of first title

NEWS STORY
12/11/2014

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of his first title, Michael Schumacher's website is being re-launched.

Though Damon Hill might not feel quite as celebratory when he reflects on that day in Adelaide, we are sure that he'll take advantage of the facility to leave a message for the German as his rehabilitation continues following his skiing accident last December.

Announcing the move this morning, his official spokesperson Sabine Kehm issued a brief statement:

"November 13, 1994, is a special day in the sporting life of Michael Schumacher – 20 years ago he was the first German to ever win the Formula One world championship title, his first of seven titles.

To mark the 20th anniversary of his first world champion title we will reactivate Michael’s homepage. We hope to thus give the many fans from all over the world, whose sympathy is still unbroken after his accident, a home.

The newly designed homepage features many pictures and stories of Michael’s unparalleled career, all races, data and facts. There is also a fan-area where fans can send their twitter-messages to.

michael-schumacher.de will be online from Thursday 13 November 09:00 MEZ onwards."

(the link will be made active when the site is online)

"Was that the championship he 'won' by deliberately colliding with another car? The mark of a real champion.

Is this the same driver whose team mates weren't allowed to pass him or had to concede positions to him? Oh, then there was the case where he reversed his damaged car into the middle of the track in an effort to get the race stopped. As for stopping in the middle of the track in Monaco during qualifying...........Then on his comeback he virtually drove someone into the pit wall .

He really was a worthy champion.

Standby for the negative ratings.
