Video: Rosberg admits 'I felt so helpless"

NEWS STORY
22/09/2014

In his post-Singapore video blog, Nico Rosberg admits to "toughest day of the year" but fails to match Sebastian Vettel's keen sense of humour.

After all, surely, after revealing that... "I didn't have fourth gear, sixth gear, upshift paddle was double-shifting every time, no DRS, no hybrid power, no nothing... the whole steering wheel wasn't working", Seb would have added... 'apart from that everything was fine'.

"In an age where we have the most highly qualified technical people working in the sport for a driver, especially one who is leading the championship and needs to maintain momentum, to suffer this sort of failure is simply unforgivable. Has it all become too high tech and complicated? Surely with all that brain power they could have got it sorted in time.
By how much does Mercedes compensate Rosberg for this failure which has in no small way harmed his campaign? Do they care?.. they have the title(s) in the bag anyway.
Wouldn't it be strange if he suffered more "freakish" failures before the year is out ...
I think Mercedes owes us all an explanation.
