Albert Park takes shape

13/03/2013

Whilst the final touches are put to the Albert Park circuit, the cars are assembled and the drivers have to make the inevitable PR appearances.

It's not clear who got the short straw but ahead of this weekend's season opener Mark Webber got to visit a children's school, where the kids got to meet a genuine local hero.

Olympic cycling champion Will Hoy took to the track with, fellow Scot, Paul di Resta, while Esteban Gutierrez was inducted into the Piranha Club, almost literally.

Before the serious stuff begins on Friday, all five rookies took to the beach to play some tennis, while for Fernando Alonso and the rest it was time to walk the track and maybe sign some autographs.
