Renault reveals three-year plan

In the wake of revealing an all new line-up, Renault team boss Eric Boullier says his team is targeting title success within two to three seasons.

Days after securing the services of 2007 world champion Kimi Raikkonen, the British outfit revealed that Vitaly Petrov had been dropped in favour of Romain Grosjean.

Having finished a disappointing fifth in the Constructors' Championship, under intense pressure from Force India, Boullier remains confident as he looks forward to 2012 and beyond.

"We've changed our two drivers, which is not fashionable but corresponds to owners Genii's desire to become a 'top team' again," he said. "The plan is to be world champions in two or three years' time."

Asked about the possibility of Robert Kubica returning to the team, Boullier was less positive. "I don't know if there will be a future between Lotus Renault and Robert," said the Frenchman. "We have two race drivers, we'll see who is the third."

The Enstone based outfit, which started out as Toleman and then became Benetton, was bought by Genii Capital at the end of 2010 following Renault's decision to quit the sport as a manufacturer. From next season it will race as Lotus.
