The French court which today heard Ferrari's case against the FIA and its plans to introduce controversial new rules next season, will announce its decision tomorrow (Wednesday).

The hearing, which lasted just over an hour, and was presided over by Jacques Gondrand de Robert, saw the Maranello outfit send a team of three lawyers to the Tribunal de Grande Instance in Paris to plead its case.

Ferrari, which has already announced its intention to withdraw from F1 if the rules are introduced, is protesting the FIA's plan to bring in a £40m budget cap in 2010. The FIA has already admitted that if Ferrari wins the case it will appeal.

The court's decision will come just hours before the first practice session for the Monaco GP weekend gets underway.
