FIA President Max Mosley is the latest to give rookie sensation Lewis Hamilton the thumbs up.

"The impressive thing about Lewis is that he hasn't put a foot wrong, and that's what's so unusual with a beginner," the Englishman told Reuters, "that's really impressive."

Having made history by scoring podium finishes in his first three Grands Prix, the English youngster is joint leader of the World Championship, along with Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso. However, clearly aware of the enormous demands the (British) media, Mosley warned that too much pressure on the McLaren driver is not in anyone's best interests.

"We've been fortunate," said Mosley. "But we mustn't put too much on Lewis. If things don't go so well for him for a few races, it doesn't mean anything. He's obviously got a huge future in front of him."

One of the things about Hamilton is that he's not obeying the rules. Contemporary F1 cars don't really allow for overtaking, not in the same sense as other (predominantly one-make) series, however, that hasn't stopped the youngster replicating some of the moves we have previously seen him execute on his rise through the ranks. Mosley remains confident that overtaking will become easier, which is good news for all of us: "It's going to take time," he admitted, "but we are working on it."
